CompTIA Cloud Essentials

The CompTIA Cloud Essentials course is designed for business professionals, leaders, students, recent graduates and career changers who want a clear understanding of cloud computing and what it means for business. It is part of CompTIA’s beginner-friendly Essentials series, and no prior experience is required. It replaces the retired Cloud Essentials+ certification exam.

Participants learn the core cloud concepts, including service and deployment models such as IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, public, private and hybrid, as well as the shared responsibility model for security. They see how to align cloud strategy with business objectives, manage vendor relationships and optimize cloud investments, and look at migration strategies and cloud-native applications. The course also covers operating in the cloud, from monitoring and optimization to DevOps practices such as CI/CD and configuration management, along with managing risk, creating policies and meeting compliance requirements. It finishes with emerging trends and reskilling opportunities. Videos, interactive assessments, practice questions and performance reports support the learning.

The course ends with a CompTIA CompCert assessment rather than a traditional certification exam, and you earn a downloadable Competency Certificate to showcase your achievement. You will gain the confidence to make informed decisions about cloud services, collaborate better with technical teams and apply cloud concepts in your career.
